Charity Chair
We are seeking an experienced Charity Chair to join a passionate and collegiate Board. If you have experience on a not-for-profit board, share our passion for turning pre-loved into re-loved so every child thrives and are willing to share your skills and networks to lead us through our next exciting chapter we’d love to hear from you.
In addition to a passion for and a desire to advance the strategic objectives of Our Village, we are seeking an experienced and visionary leader with:
- A deep commitment to Our Village’s mission and values.
- Board or executive-level experience in the not-for-profit or government sector.
- Strong governance, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A robust network within the philanthropic and/or corporate sector and willingness to leverage this network to support fundraising efforts.
- Experience in scaling operations or leading organisations through growth and transformation.

Community Engagement and Operations Manager
We’re hiring! We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Community Engagement and Operations Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of our service.
Reporting to the Head of Community Engagement and Operations, this newly created role will be responsible for the delivery of the service that Our Village provides to social care, health, community and in the future education organisations (known as ‘agencies’). This includes the receiving and processing of donated pre-loved items, the volunteering program that supports these activities, the receiving and processing of orders from case workers and others within the agencies and delivery of packed goods to these agencies.
Ensuring a positive experience for volunteers, service users and staff is key to this role, as is the efficient and safe operation of our warehouses.
The Community Engagement and Operations Manager will also act as Deputy to the Head of Community and Operations when needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Planning, implementing and delivering of Our Village’s service delivery strategy.
- Ensuring consistency and alignment of service delivery across sites.
- Leading and supervising the delivery of the volunteer program
- Ensuring that the OHS responsibilities of the organisation are fulfilled
What we’re looking for
- A commitment to the vision and values of the organisation
- A genuine interest to make an impact in the lives of the vulnerable babies and children that Our Village supports.
- Volunteer management experience
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
- Warehouse and/or logistics experience with knowledge and hands on experience managing OHS in the workplace.
- A collaborative approach to management of people and tasks
- A systematic thinker – able to develop and execute systems and processes that drive efficiency whilst being environmentally sustainable.

About us
Our Village is the new chapter in the story of St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums, and Eureka Mums: turning pre-loved into re-loved so every child thrives. Our Village collects, sorts, and redistributes essential nursery equipment, clothing, books, and toys for babies and children in response to requests from a statewide network of social workers and Maternal & Child Health Nurses.
